The kitchen was stocked for us to be able to cook in the home we only had to buy the food , the shower was fully stocked and there were even some great books for us to browse. We loved our stay and would absolutely do it again. The house is in a great location in Portland- tons of shops and restaurants in the area that you can easily ride or drive to. They were thoughtful and left coffee and tea for us as well. We were able to talk with Ian about the home and he shared some great tips and advice with us. The windows open up onto an edible garden.
We loved our stay and would absolutely do it again. The bed in the loft was very comfortable and the rest of the house was so cozy. We would've loved to stay longer! The house is in a great location in Portland- tons of shops and restaurants in the area that you can easily ride or drive to. You might add a few extra days to your trip so that you can lounge in the tiny home looking out onto a beautiful garden. The space was exactly as represented. Even though the house is located in a neighborhood, they did a great job creating privacy. I personally enjoyed brining my laptop out and getting some done in one of the sitting areas in the garden. Our flight got in really late the night we arrived so it was also nice that the house wasn't too far from the airport. The living room area had a very comfortable couch. I would absolutely consider staying here again next time we're in the area! We were able to talk with Ian about the home and he shared some great tips and advice with us. The neighborhood was nice a quiet and was easy to get to. The one downside to the trip was that it was too short. It's just as it appears in the pictures and it accommodated my girlfriend and I so well. The house was hand-built by the owner and is surrounded by their families backyard edible garden. Vaulted ceilings and floor to ceiling windows make this tiny house feel open and spacious. She was very willing to help us problem solve to and was kind with correcting my misunderstandings. My husband and I chose to stay in a tiny home because we're looking at downsizing in the near future and want to make sure we can live in that space. Jesse and Ian were very responsive to any questions we had prior to the stay. I'm not a gardener myself, but if I were, I'm sure I would have appreciated even more. It was a great tiny slice of tiny living. The "big house" is located off of 48th Ave, not Alberta St which is a misunderstanding we made. The neighborhood was quiet. Unfortunately we were unable to meet Jessie and Ian but they seem very kind and thoughtful.
